Terms of Service

WebSnips is operated by Mavels Tech ("WebSnips", "we", "us", or "our"). By accessing or using our website, browser extension, applications, APIs, and related services (together, the "Service"), you ("you" or "User") agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, which are incorporated by reference. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind that organization, and "you" includes that organization.

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) and legally able to enter into a contract to use the Service. The Service is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly permit use by anyone under 18.

You are responsible for your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must keep your login secure, provide accurate information, and notify us promptly of any unauthorized use. We are not liable for any loss arising from your failure to safeguard your account.

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for your own personal or internal business purposes. We reserve all rights not expressly granted.

You agree that you will not, and will not permit anyone to:

• use the Service for any unlawful, infringing, fraudulent, harmful, or abusive purpose;
• capture, store, upload, or process any content you do not have the right to use, or that infringes intellectual-property, privacy, publicity, confidentiality, or other rights;
• attempt to access, scrape, reverse-engineer, decompile, disrupt, overload, or circumvent any part of the Service, its security, rate limits, or access controls;
• resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service except as expressly permitted;
• use the Service to build a competing product, or to train machine-learning models on the Service or its outputs;
• introduce malware, or use bots/automation to abuse credits, AI features, or any usage limits; or
• violate any applicable law or the rights of any third party.

We may investigate suspected violations and may suspend or terminate access without notice to protect the Service, our users, or third parties.

The Service lets you capture, save, annotate, organize, and generate content ("Your Content"). As between you and us, you retain ownership of Your Content. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, process, transmit, and display Your Content solely to operate and provide the Service to you (including processing it through our AI and infrastructure providers).

You are solely responsible for Your Content and for how you use the Service. You represent and warrant that you have all rights necessary to capture and use Your Content and that it does not violate any law or third-party right. WebSnips and Mavels Tech are not responsible or liable for Your Content, for the websites or materials you capture, or for any acts or omissions by you, and you assume all risk associated with your use of the Service.

The Service includes AI-assisted features (for example summaries, connections, insights, tag suggestions, and drafted content) provided on an "as-is" basis. AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, biased, or unsuitable, and it is generated automatically from the inputs available. AI output is not professional, legal, financial, medical, or other expert advice. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying any AI output before relying on or publishing it.

Paid plans and AI credit packs are priced and charged in US Dollars (USD). Payments are processed by our third-party payment processor; by purchasing, you also agree to that processor's terms. Prices, plans, credit amounts, and features may change at any time, but changes will not affect a purchase already completed.

Taxes (GST): For customers in India, Goods and Services Tax (GST) at the applicable rate (currently 18%) is added to the listed price at checkout. You are responsible for any other taxes, duties, or levies applicable to your purchase.

All sales are final. Except where a non-waivable right under applicable law requires otherwise, all purchases — including lifetime/one-time plan purchases and AI credit packs — are non-refundable and non-cancellable once completed. AI credits have no cash value, are not exchangeable or transferable, and are forfeited if your account is terminated for a breach of these Terms. We recommend evaluating the Free tier before purchasing.

The Service relies on, and may link to or interoperate with, third-party services (including cloud infrastructure, AI model, payment, analytics, and hosting providers). We do not control and are not responsible for third-party services, their availability, or their terms. Your use of them is at your own risk and may be governed by their own agreements.

The Service, including its software, design, branding, and content (excluding Your Content), is owned by Mavels Tech or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. You may not use our names, logos, or marks without our prior written permission.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or that any content (including AI output) will be accurate or that data will never be lost. You are responsible for maintaining your own backups of important data.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MAVELS TECH, WEBSNIPS, AND OUR AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE TOTAL AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS IMMEDIATELY BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) USD 50. THESE LIMITATIONS APPLY TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW AND REGARDLESS OF THE THEORY OF LIABILITY.

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Mavels Tech, WebSnips, and our affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: (a) Your Content; (b) your use of the Service; (c) your violation of these Terms or any law; or (d) your violation of any third-party right.

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, to comply with law, or to protect the Service or others. On termination, your licence ends and we may delete your data in the ordinary course; amounts paid are non-refundable as set out above. Sections that by their nature should survive (including ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnification, and governing law) survive termination.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We may also update these Terms; the current version will always be posted here with its "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka, India for any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service.

We will not be liable for any delay or failure caused by events beyond our reasonable control (force majeure). If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. These Terms, together with the policies referenced above, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service.
